Synastrix ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how the Synastrix app handles your information.

Information We Collect

Synastrix is a local-first app. The core compatibility features work entirely on your device — no account required, no data sent to our servers.

Birthdate input: Birthdates you enter are stored locally on your device using encrypted on-device storage. They are never transmitted to Synastrix servers.
Saved profiles: Compatibility results and saved person profiles are stored locally on your device and are not synced to any cloud service.
Subscription information: In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store your payment information. RevenueCat, our subscription management provider, processes and stores subscription status — see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for details.

AI Deep Reading (Premium)

Premium subscribers may request an AI-generated compatibility reading. When you request a reading:

Zodiac sign combinations and compatibility scores are sent to our API (no names, no birthdates)
The request is processed by our servers and forwarded to a third-party AI service to generate the reading
We do not store the content of AI readings on our servers; readings are cached locally on your device

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We do not currently use any third-party analytics or crash reporting services. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified through an app update.

Device Permissions

Synastrix may request the following permissions, each only when you initiate the related feature:

Contacts — Premium subscribers can import contacts to quickly set up matches. Contact data (name and birthday) is read on-device and never sent to our servers.
Photo Library — Used when you choose a profile photo from your gallery. Photos are stored locally on your device.
Camera — Used when you choose to take a new profile photo. Photos are stored locally on your device.
Network — Required for premium AI readings and subscription validation.

Synastrix does not request access to your microphone, location, or any other device sensor. All permissions are optional and the core app functions without them.

Children's Privacy

Synastrix is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app. This permanently removes all saved profiles and compatibility results.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through an app update. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
